MCA President Jim Hinkle passes this message along to Mantua residents:
You will be happy to know that State Senator Chap Petersen sent a letter to Mr. Paylor at the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) decrying recent incidents at the Pickett Road tank farm. His closing said, "Essentially, the current facility cannot safely function in a high-traffic urban location. It needs to be moved. I am asking the assistance of DEQ in helping us find a way to make that move occur, whether it must be done through legal action or some other method. I would welcome whatever advice you could provide on that point." The good Senator seems to have picked up our cause.
