Welcome to the new Mantua Community Residents Web Site.
The leaves are turning and fall is in the air. We are already preparing for the MCA Holiday Party on December 6 at the clubhouse of the Mantua Pool and Tennis Club, (who are our co-sponsors for this event – Thanks!).
In the meantime, our next MCA Membership Meeting will be on November 19 at 7:30 p.m., at the Mantua Elementary School cafeteria. It will feature a Providence Report from Providence District Supervisor Linda Smyth and our District School Board Representative Phil Niedzielski-Eichner. We have also invited Congressman Tom Davis, who is retiring this year after 14 years in Congress, so that we may thank him for his service.
Please note the MCA Board roster in this issue, and thank your neighbors who are pitching in, with the MCA as well as with the PTA, the Girl Scouts, the Boy Scouts, and the many other volunteer organizations that make Mantua a leading community in the region.
Please note also that we still have several openings on the Board; please contact any Board member if you are interested in helping. Finally, just because you are receiving this newsletter doesn’t mean you are an MCA member for 2008-2009 yet. If you haven’t yet paid your dues, please contact your block captain or follow the instructions in November's Newsletter.
