Mantua Elementary School's theme, "Basic School Powered by Technology," reflects its position as one of the most high-tech schools in Fairfax County while remaining rooted in the traditions of reading, writing and arithmetic. Life-long learning, core values and a sense of community and responsibility are central to Mantua Elementary School's philosophy. The school's unique programs include:

Academics:

  • Technology incorporated into all aspects of the curriculum
  • FLEX Foreign Language Program
  • Focus on strengthening writing skills at all levels
Technology:

  • Model Technology program in all grades (K-6)
  • Computer labs and classrooms with the latest interactive instructional tools, including the Internet
  • Each fifth and sixth grader is provided with their own eMate laptop computer
